SIMUN
The future of our countries rests in the hands of our youth and young diplomats. Driven by immense ambition, they represent a considerable waste. Denying them the opportunity to fully express their talent would be a tremendous loss of human resources. Our beautiful world needs this youth to prosper. Aware of this, SIMUN offers this generation a unique chance to make its voice heard within the international community. SIMUN’s objective is to bring countries closer together and strengthen ties between the different regions of Africa, to overcome geographical barriers and foster the continent’s development. To this end, SIMUN brings together a thousand delegates and makes it a point of honor to organize a high-level conference. SIMUN is distinguished by the presence of its distinguished guests: prominent figures holding the highest positions in the Kingdom, the President of the Moroccan government, the Minister of Cooperation and Foreign Affairs, presidents of NGOs, and many others.
What is a UN simulation?
A Model UN is an international conference that brings together students and civil society actors from around the world. They take on the roles of « international diplomats » to make their voices heard. During workshops organized by the UN, delegates are required to respect the organization’s general structure: the main bodies and committees are represented. Within their committee, delegates represent a country and defend its position on a specific issue. These future leaders lead debates, exchange viewpoints, and negotiate to draft, vote on, and adopt a final resolution. The goal is to propose solutions to the most pressing international challenges and contribute to building a better world and promoting global citizenship.
