Hajar Elyaaqoubi
My name is Hajar Elyaaqoubi and I am a Master holder in the field of communication with a great passion towards
development issues. The importance of development has been a great part of my work in different NGOs that have
inspired me to do more in this particular field. �Working as a communication intern in the UN Women Regional
Office for Arab States in Cairo enabled me to advance gender equality and empower women in the MENA region.
Those experiences truly reaffirmed my true calling in life, which is to use my skills to foster social justice,
and create effective, workable solutions to improve the living conditions of women in the MENA region and around the world.
I believe there is no better place to practice world diplomacy than the Sahara International Model United Nations (SIMUN).
This year, I will be joining the United Nations Human Rights Committee.
It will be a great opportunity to learn, thrive and take the lead in fixing world issues.
